What is your favorite and least favorite Forum Software and why is it your favorite/least favorite? My favorite vBulletin and IPB. I have never been own of forum that was run on vBulletin or IPB but have try out both demos and I love it. IPB's Admin Panel is easier for me but vBulletin has lot more add-on. Both are very professional and if I open a forum I will be useing one one of them. If I have to chose a least favorite Forum Software it will be SMF because it look too boxy and there are only few good styles for it.

vBulletin or MyBB, not a big fan of the free forums because they lack usability.

MyBB is free though, and is the best free software out there. I use a hosted version LiteMyBB/MyBBExtra because I dont know how to install MyBB lol but its just like myBB you can even get their mods put on yours.
My fav is MyBB and least fav is FreeForums. SMF is up there too as my least fav.

I would say IPb is the best but I have never used the software so I will have to go with phpbb.

Vbulletin or IPB are defidently the best. IPB is used by the NHL teams for their message boards.
But they cost to much for me.

I haven't tried many styles so I can't really say which ones I like best and least without being biased. xD
For some reason I don-t like vBulletin as much nowadays.
I like phpv2 so far, Invision looks neat too...

I'm currently using vBulletin for my forum. Before that I used to use Invisionfree.

As a user my favourite forum software to use is PhpBB3 or vBulletin. As an admin probably PhpBB2 or PhpBB3. MyBB is decent too.

I prefer MyBB or vBulletin because of having a decent amount of experience with the software. I know how to navigate around the admin CP and that alone attracts me to those two because of being comfortable. Also from a user point of view, I feel that those two also look very professional and clean, phpBB is decent as well.
I am not a fan of forumotion (sp?) or SMF because I personally do not find it as attractive.

Mine has to be phpBB3. While it may not be the easiest ACP for an administrator I find that from a member point of view it's a very simple and easy to navigate software. It's very customizable, has a variety of quality styles and installing the actual software is very easy.

My favourite forum software is PhpBB3, the styles and mods are great. MyBB is probably my second favourite but I've always used PhpBB3.

SMF is the best I have used so far, Mybb is also good, but lacks decent themes.

Well if I'm being honest I'm not a big fan of Proboards, vB, MyBB or IPB. Most of them just don't look very nice which when they really don't that puts me right off. phpBB is fantastic, very customisable and easy to use. It does annoy me when people say they don't like it when they've not used it properly
